Meet Korie Griggs
Korie Griggs is a writer who believes words are to be cherished and never wasted. She facilitates healing through the vulnerable storytelling of her life through poetry. She invites you to be part of her story while challenging you to reflect upon your own. Korie is a writer who consistently learns who she is while journeying through grief. She cherishes her deep ancestral roots and allows them to guide her through all of the brutalities and blessings that life offers. Korie is a nationally published writer and a Midwestern zine curator and publisher. As an Indiana native, she enjoys creating close to home or in the presence of wide-open nature experiences. Life has been her greatest teacher, and words have been her dearest friend. She hopes that you find safety and healing within her writing.

Suffer Well
Suffer Well: Poems for the Grieving is a look inside the grieving process from Korie Griggs’ perspective. Each poem was written inside the epicenter of her grief. These pages are a survival story and comfort in knowing we are never alone. Grief is something we all must encounter in this lifetime, yet so many of us are unsure of how to cope. Korie chose to cope through writing.

Overall Paw
Inspired by the significance of her Grandfather’s signature garments and intimate performance spaces, we filmed this performance of “Overall Paw: My Grandfather’s Eulogy” at Irvington Vinyl and Books in Indianapolis, Indiana.
